Water Flows Downhill
Isn’t that title a profound and brilliant
deduction? Water, in the form of rain, hits the ground and is
immediately absorbed or flows away to a creek somewhere. But, this
effect is so noteworthy as to be mentioned in hundreds of deeds that are
recorded in the county clerk’s office at the courthouse. It is so
important that many surveyors still use the phrase “and lying on the
waters of So-and-So Creek” to help describe where the surveyed property
